Yubei is committed to the construction of a great commercial & trade district. Yubei is fostering the convention & exhibition industry with the accelerated construction of Chongqing International Expo Center in Yuelai street. The 500,000 m² Exhibition Hall of the city will be available by 2012. By 2015, the new International Convention & Exhibition Zone will be ready. With Chongqing International Expo Center being the center, this area plans150,000-m² up-market hotels, 1.5-million-m² business headquarters, office buildings and catering, entertainment, leisure facilities of scale with matching industries.
培育发展会展业。加快重庆国际博览中心建设，到2012年，完成50万平方米会展场馆建设，到2015年，基本建成国际会展新区。以重庆国际博览中心为中心，规划建设15万平方米的星级酒店群，150万平方米的商务总部、写字楼宇以及大型餐饮娱乐休闲设施，形成完整的会展经济体系。
Yubei is focusing on the development of headquarters business and fancial sector. The area is set to become the core district of headquarters business in Chongqing, featuring airport-based manufacturing headquarters of auto&motor, electronics and IT, mordern services headquarters of convention&exhibition, logistics, commerce™ financial business, news&media, cultural creative, films and animation&cartoon industries. Yubei is also targeted to be the clustering venue of headquarters or branches for banking, insurance and securities institutions in Chongqing or southwest China, and build Longxi Street into the financial subcenter of chongqing tailored financial services and emerging financial businesses.
