Yubei is an emerging international metropolis image demonstration district. In August, 2009, "Strategy of Urban Spatial Development Plan" established a "dual-core, dual-base" of the urban expansion planning structure, which clearly defined Yubei as the future new urban center of Chongqing. In accordance with present urban development strategy of " Konggang New City as the core, the inner ring of Liangjiang New Area as the key, building Yuelai grouping to the west, Mugu grouping to the north, Longxing grouping to the east and Longxi grouping to the south" so as to construct a national urban image demonstration district which is international, livable, traffic-smooth, ecological with leading, specialties and industries. By 2015, the primary target of "recreating a new Yubei" will be realized, the established urban area will reach 200 km² with a population of 2.5 million.
渝北，正在崛起的国际化大都市展示区。2009年8月《重庆市城市空间发展战略规划》确立了"双核双基地"的城市扩张规划结构，将渝北城区明确界定为未来重庆主城新中心。按照"以空港新城为核心，以两江内环为重点，西进建设悦来组团，北上建设木古组团，东跨建设龙兴组团，南连建设龙溪组团"的城市发展战略布局，打造具有领先性、特色性、国际化的宜居、畅通、生态、产业的国家中心城市展示区。到2015年，基本实现"再造一个大渝北"目标，城市建成区面积达到200平方公里，聚集人口达到250万。

Yubei has maintained the good air quality days rate of 90% plus, forest coverage rate above 40% and per capita green area of 17.2 m². 2/3 of the high-end residence community, Sorthwest University of Politics and Law, and the No. 1 middle school,gather here to form the ecological city of "living by the lake with clear water, in the forest under blue sky".
全力参与"五个重庆"建设，城市宜居水平显著提升，空气质量优良天数常年保持在90%以上，全区森林覆盖率达40%，城区人均绿地面积达17.2平方米，重庆2/3的高端住宅小区汇集渝北，西南政法大学、重庆市一中等名校入驻渝北，形成了"家居湖畔、天蓝水清、城在林中"的生态城区。
