Yubei is set to build itself into the renowned city of auto and motor, a specialty industrial base for light industy, manufacturing base for laptop, PC and accessories, while stepping up its efforts to construct the advanced manufacturing base in Chongqing. By 2015, the accumulated industrial investment will reach 80 billion yuan and industrial output by enterprises above designated scale will exceed 400 billion yuan. 4 100-billion-level projects, namely Kongang Industrial Park and three ndustrial bases in Longxing Industrial Park of Liangjiang New Area, Bonded Export Processing Zone and New North Zone respectively will be completed.

Yubei strives to be the key manufacturing base of electronics and IT by developing digital office equipment, new-generation telecommunications and automobile electronic industries. By 2015, the accumulated investment in the electronic information industry is expected to reach 20 billion yuan with a revenue of 150 billion yuan.
全力培育电子信息产业，重点发展笔记本电脑整机制造，配套发展电脑关键零部件及设备制造，形成较为完善的计算机及配套产业体系。积极发展数字办公设备产业，着力培育新一代通信产业，加快发展汽车电子产业，努力建设成为重庆重要的电子信息产业基地。到2015年累计完成电子信息产业投资200亿元，产值达到1500亿元。

Yubei is also expanding biopharmaceutical industry with matching new medical apparatus and equipments.
加快培育战略型新兴产业，重点发展混合动力汽车、纯电动汽车、天然气汽车等新能源汽车，重点发展海装风电、太阳能、核能等成套装备，建成我国重要的风电装备产业基地和光伏产品研发生产基地，积极发展节能环保产业，构建环保技术及装备产业链，发展壮大生物医药产业，配套发展医用新型医疗器械。
